Hello all, my name is Fin, and as the title suggests I am a PJ hopeful. I am sixteen years old and currently am in my Junior year of high school. I have recently (past couple months) started to really get serious about this idea, as I realized that I truly am graduating early a year from now. In about a month I went from a 12 minute mile to a 7 minute mile, and have begun to work on building up muscle. My weight training was stalled up until two weeks ago because I had broken my 1st metacarpal bone in an incident. Prior to that, ironically, I was training to become an amateur boxer. I will begin to resume boxing by next month, don't really want to screw up my hand further.
I wish to become a member of the United States Air Force's ParaRescue team for multiple reasons. However the chief reason is definitely the fact that I want to save lives. This seems to be quite literally the most direct way of saving lives, and possibly among one of the most honorable jobs (not trying to say one thing is better than another...) to be had in the U.S Armed Forces. This is what I'm going to do, and I feel if I don't pursue this, I will likely be very disappointed for the majority of my life. I've come to this forum specifically to possible be able to talk to some real PJ's, and get some training advice.
That really sums it up for the most part, thank you for taking the time to read the intro.
