Well, the journey that started in Sept has come to an end. out of 12 Lat movers I was the only to graduate. I am not surprised, the course was pretty difficult. The land PT was harder than anything I have done before MAI course, MAIT course, 2 work ups, or deployments. The pool/ocean PT was on par with some of the more difficult stuff I did at my WSA course, not quite as hard as MCIWS, but almost. The kicker was all these evolution's were asked of you daily, and often mixed together in the same day or event {IE. RPAT}. 1st phase was a gut check, Everyone regardless of rank was "equal". This was one of the first obstacles myself the other Sgt's, and the officers were in for, it was quite an equality treat. Amphib phase was a fun break, but then it was right back to Camp Pen for Patrolling. That phase made, and broke a few guys. Then of course the famous end of phase 3 event. That sucked. All in all I was really pleased with the instruction. BRC turns out some good products. I am now ready for the real test. As a Sgt lat mover I am well behind the power curve, so I have a lot of work to do, but I am ready to go to work. I 'd like to thank some of the contributors here on the board, I took a little bit from each of you, and put it together and was successful. On top of everything I got to stay here at Pendleton, so I really am living the dream! Next up is SERE and Jump ! If anyone needs any help prepping for BRC drop me a line.

Congratulations my brother!

I wish you the very best success with your next challenges.

Keep us updated.

Fucking cool bro. Congrats! Enjoy TRADOC bullshit for jump school....The SEAL students (when I was there in 94), would break formation and run circles around the platoon while running a 9 min/mile. Then the black hats would try and smoke the SEAL students and when they did push ups, they would laugh and make jokes, further pissing the black hats off......Fun times.

It's official. 1st Force Reconnaissance Company is getting a new commanding officer. Not many Marines are fortunate enough to get a third company command, especially as a Major. It goes at 1300 at the 1st Recon Battalion CP on November 3d. There will be beer. Anyone who can get on base is welcome. It'll probably be a zoo.

Nice try sir, I am at Force, but I am not a force recon marine.
