Greetings all,
I am a former Marine (89' to 93') and served the bulk of my time on Kinser in Okinawa. Some of my best friends and memories were made there, and like most, have never been able to shake the haircut.
Looking forward to good discussion and contributing where I can to the debate...one of my first (and favorite) interactions with SOF folks was when the Recon guys would come down from Nago; a small group of them always had a length of rope and were constantly practicing knots..
There was an NCO who would "F" with them, calling out different knots and taking great pleasure in making their life miserable when someone could not get his knot the first time...3 months into the fleet and my observation was..."wow, bootcamp never stops!"
