Hello,
I'm Larry from Illinois, I served just over 10 years in the Army. My first assignment was with C co 3/5 at Fort Kobbe, Panama, 1981-83. From there I moved onto Fort Irwin,California and was assigned to The OPFOR with A Co 6/31 and A Co 1/52, 1983-87. I went back to Panama and spent 2.5 years with the jungle warfare branch at JOTC as an instructor, 1987-89. I returned to Fort Irwin and again was assigned to A co 1/52 until it was redesignated 11th ACR in 91. I was involuntarily separated from service in 91 due to an injury. I presently work for Bakercorp, a containment rental company based out of Seal Beach California. I am their welder and maintain the equipment for the Chicago branch. I was directed to this site by a friend who mention the thread about the possible reopening of Fort Sherman. A very interesting topic and something I'd be interested in. I'm looking forward to reading more about this.
