Salutations. No my username isn’t my legal name, I’m only a half idiot. I’m a 28 year old in the DEP for the army with an 11x/airborne contract. Mainly joining for some questions about RASP that I’m not finding with general google searches. I have aspirations to volunteer for RASP if possible during OSUT or airborne school if the opportunity presents itself. I was not military fit when I signed my contract and didn’t know if I could transform my bro lifting body to ranger fit in time but I’m getting a 60 on the apft in about 2 months of training functionally so I’m optimistic. I leave for training in two weeks. I’m 5’9, 185 now after losing 25 lbs over the last few months. I don’t have chin up handles on my squat rack but I can do 12 wide pull ups, 35 push ups, don’t have a partner for true army sit ups but feet under a tire I’m around 40 (I haven’t gone for a 2 min max in a while, doing volume sit ups, supine bicycles, planks, and flutter kicks with string posterior chain lifts. Running is my main factor but I’m down to a 16 minute two miles after about a year of no running, but used to run 24 minute 5ks once a week so I’m confident I’ll get back in stride.
