I hope y'all are doing fine.
Military service was a passive interest of mine in high school, but felt beyond the scope of who I was as a teenager. I dropped out of high school, fixed myself, worked, clawed my way into college, and became acquainted with a couple Marines who made me realize the kind of people with whom I need to be. As a 26-year-old reflecting on the few big decisions I've made, I find myself less uncomfortable with failure for all the growth it has forced upon me and finally comfortable with military service as an active interest.
I appreciate y'all sharing your time and experience with those of us outside-looking-in.
