When I said shit like this in the 90's - I was just an over zealous conservative with a penchant for conspiracy theories suffering from low grade xenophobia.

When I said shit like this when Obama was in office - I was a radical conservative and a closeted racist that refused to tolerate underrepresented groups.

Now, Bill Maher says the exact same shit about the exact same left wing shit that's been going on for 60 years and people think he's some kind of mother fucking visionary.
Bill Maher is a left wing liberal that is STILL going to vote for left wing liberals.

THAT is how bad the left has ALWAYS been - and people are pissed off because Trumps bizarre egomaniacal public persona has forced it SO FAR into the open and out of the shadows that even BillMotherFuckingMaher has to call it out just to maintain even the tiniest shred of credibility.

Here's my take on Iran's "crazy" wartime strategy.

To most Americans, Iran’s foreign policy often looks less like grand strategy and more like a drunken bar fight.

Missiles at Israel. Proxy attacks on U.S. bases. Harassing Saudi Arabia. Backing the Houthis. Threatening the Strait of Hormuz. Launching drones at commercial shipping. Attacking merchant vessels from… <checks notes> …South Korea? Wow. OK. That’s pretty random. And occasionally deciding that random tankers apparently need to experience turbulence, or at least some additional ventilation.

From the outside, it feels chaotic, almost suicidal. But here’s the uncomfortable reality: From Tehran’s perspective, this strategy may actually make perfect sense.

Not morally. Not ethically. No, it’s much more important than that. It makes sense strategically.

And if you want to understand why Iran behaves the way it does, you have to stop looking at the Middle East through an American lens and start viewing it through the eyes of a regime that believes it is permanently under siege.

Having some first hand experience of both countries activities I can safety say the only ones loosing are the civilians.. I witnessed Hezbollah launch multiple rockets into northern Israel and in turn watch IDF drone strikes land extremely close to our OP's . My last two deployments I went out in Civil Affairs/ CIMIC … We had 14 villages in our AOR. two were Christian. Everything now rubble.
 
We did the samd thing in multiple cities in Iraq to get rid of ISIS. Main difference there is, ISIS doesn't have as big of a worldwide propaganda network on their side.

UNIFIL, which essentially just protects Hezbollah instead of disarming them. Not sure what you expect Israel to do here? Just accept rocket attacks?

Clearly the rest of the world has realized that 21st century America is rapidly and zealously moving toward an isolationist "look the other way" doctrine as the preferred foreign policy option...
