I was a lazy, shitty soldier that regrets not accepting a chance to go to Ranger school after basic training at Fort Benning. As an "unassigned" Airborne Infantryman, just fresh from AIT but not yet left for Airborne training, a small number of us were offered Rangers or the 82nd. I heard some rumors about how hard Ranger School would be and opted for Fort Bragg. I mostly just wanted to apologize for never stepping up to be a real servant warrior.
