Hi all. I first want to apologise for the long intro.
I recently turned 30, am married with 2 children and 1 on the way due in July. I have a bachelor's degree in operations management.
After college I worked for Goldman Sachs and now I am currently the VP of Operations of a national food distributor.
I enjoy hiking, fishing, running and traveling.
Becoming a Navy SEAL has been a desire of mine since I was a small child even before the teams were in the spotlight. However, deciding to go to college, get married, and have children (all decisions I don't regret) has pushed pursuing the SEAL pipeline to the point where I am now past the age cutoff.
A friend of mine introduced me to the Guard's REP 63 route recently as a good balance between SOF life and family life and the age cutoff is 35.
I am joining this site in hopes to gather thoughts and insights on my current situation and see if it can help me make the best decision for me and my family.
