I cant speak on behalf of the army, maybe they operate differently from the air force in terms of AGR. Including friends and family I know numerous people who are slotted AGR, and they do their day to day job just like active duty, including TDY's/TAD's, deploying, etc. You are considered under Title 10 Status if slotted under AGR so your benefits will include normal active duty incentives and pays, BAH, BAS, full rate for special identifiers, etc. Your time in AGR will go towards an active duty pension.
