I liked the new Jack Ryan movie ok. 3.5/5 Harrison Ford's.
It wasn't bad. The ending felt rushed though.

OG Punisher movie with Dolph Lungren as the vigilante killer we all know and love. Former cop hunts down mafia and criminals from the sewers after his family is mistaking killed by a mafia bomb meant for him. 125 bodies in 5 years.
Louis Gosset Jr. as Frank Castles former PD friend, hot on his trail. Hot Yakuza boss in the middle of a hostile takeover of the local rackets from traditional mob. 80s movie action scenes complete with throwing knives, machine guns, and explosions.

I'd be MUCH more inclined to see this than I would Christopher Nolan's version of the Odyssey.
When AI is capable of doing full length movies, Hollywood will be in serious trouble -- they sealed their own their own fate and irrelevance with their own arrogance and social agenda. I doubt many outside the industry will be interested in saving them.

I still watch 80's flicks from time to time. I just watched the Rambo movies again recently. I thought they were the shit back then, but other than First Blood, they are all pretty fucking stupid these days. I still get a kick, its just a different kick. Terminator II still rocks.Dont ask how I got there, but I'm crushing the TOP 10 Schwarzenegger films from the 80s.
It's been a fun journey......

Terminator II, First Blood, Rambos I-IV, Over the Top, Conan I and II (for different reasons), and any and every Westerner-gets-pulled-into-an-underground-deathmatch Van Damme flick (paging @Ooh-Rah) that shows up on the tube will stay on.
All the less entertaining ones will stay on if it's just a cleaning/laundry watch.
They should be working on the sequel by now but no way it lives up to the original.
