A far less than ideal pick for VP (even among the minority females he was considering) but probably the smartest choice to help counter his unending racial gaffes and bring needed wind to his candidacy.

This is all assuming the more left-wing black constituents of the Democratic party don't cancel her by association when she fails to call him out directly for those statements.

They won't call her out. Odds are that the election is actually between her and Trump. Any bettor would give odds that Biden won't last 4 years due to his health and possible onset of dementia. A vote for Joe is really a vote for Kamala for President.
