VA: We've waive your debt of [blank]
I call the VA: I had a debt, I had no notice of this.
VA: Yes, that's because the new authorization for Benefits has finally been executed.
Me: Would be nice to get notice.

Next day I get another letter.

VA: You owe [blank] because we overpaid you.
Me: How.

There must have been a waste of so much paper at the VA for this. The dates of both letters were Dec 1, except the one notifying me they waived the debt arrived first.

This reminds me of the 1% raise we got in 2013, that extra $50 per pay period put me in a different tax bracket, and I was taxed $55 more...in effect losing $10/month.
