I'm really enjoying these smaller faster calibers for bench shooting. The .204 Ruger is blistering at 4,200 fps. The 32 grain Hornady ballistic tip has very good penetrating power because of its velocity and zero drop at 200 yards.
Rem 700 in .204 Ruger

And I just bought a Savage 93R17 in 17 HMR. Great price, well-made bolt action with a heavy bull barrel. This is the .204 velocity and drop cut in half at 2,500 fps and zero drop at 100 yards.

They are both absolute tack drivers and very much fun to shoot. I wouldn't hesitate to use the .204 on wild hogs and there's no coyote who'd side step the .17 HMR.
