A/5-19th (California) SFRE scheduled

I emailed my Candidate Data Sheet to the POC listed on the website. It's been over 3 weeks and I haven't heard anything yet. Is this normal?

At one point, early to mid '80's SF Reserve units were using our training, fields and obstical course at Vandenberg AFB. SAC would have annual missle compititions, and would also test SAC Security Forces would also hold compitition for trophys too. A couple of times I was running medics through map and compass problems while Reserve SF'ers were running candidates through our courses. I can't recall if they were 19th or 20th at the time.

I actually joined this site in 2005 or 2006 looking for opportunities to transfer into the AD or NG SF. I believe I messaged surgicalcric about it. Recon didn't have any billet openings at the time and MARSOC didn't exist yet.

I was fairly certain that I was going to get out of the Marine Corps after I got back from my last Iraq deployment. A triple stack of 155mm artillery shells in Baghdad put me on a different course. I was medevaced home after a short stint in Landstuhl. A position at a recon unit opened up after I finished therapy. The rest is history. It's funny how things work out sometimes.
