Hello all those who have gone through Air Force BMT, I have a question. My father has told me that special operations people walk around and look for people to join their special operations job (CCT, PJ, TACP) is this true? Thank you.

No, not at all. If those jobs are one of the careers you want then wait it out and get a guaranteed contract.

From my understanding, this was the way it was done decades ago. People went to BMT and then during that time they would be able to volunteer for jobs like Pararescue and CCT. I don't know when that changed, but I talked to a guy who had tried out for Pararescue in the 70's, he volunteered sometime during his training at BMT.
