I am not a 'woe is me' kinda guy, but damn this week sucks balls. We get a $15K-$20K estimate for a septic repair, and yesterday my wife was the recipient of a hit-and-run (we will not know until this evening or Monday if the van is totaled).

Time to sell that kidney.....

Well, hopefully your insurance will take care of the van problem, minus your deductible, of course. The septic is another story. Most homeowner's policies don't cover well or septic.

What kind of septic problem are you having? $15-$20K sounds like a complete replacement, leech field and all.

If you are going to need a complete replacement, research options and get more quotes. There's A LOT of new septic technology and systems available now.

And I hope your wife is okay. The car can be repaired or replaced, a wife isn't as easy to replace.
