Camp Justice, Masirah Island, Oman.
Our unit made gambling tables and hosted casino night raising money for the families of the Rangers that lost their lives in Pakistan, due to a brown out, on hit night. Don't remember if it was inside or outside the Special Operations sleeping area.
Some weeks later we all got called to a formation where letters from the spouses were read, no dry eyes that day, then we received the 75th Rangers Commander's Coin in appreciation (Still have it packed away with a SEAL coin and Green Beret coin), and then as a special bonus we received immunizations as a surprise, I'm thinking flu shots.
I remember when the body bags came in, they were scrambling to find flags for them. Another coworker of mine lent a ceremonial flag (Gold fringe on the edges) for use.
