I got my class date yesterday for MarSOC A&S. If anyone is around the Pendleton area and would like to train with me, shoot me a PM and we'll work something out.

James, I'm not near Camp Pendleton, but I will be attending the 16-1 class as well. I'll see you there.

I'm also attending 16-1.
I've got a pretty good PT program that one of our PERRES trainers put together for me if anyone is interested interested.

Here it is. It's definitely a challenging routine, but if you stick to it you should get to A&S slightly ahead of the power curve.
One thing I've been told by multiple people is to not go completely balls out this early in the game as to not injure yourself before you go.
Proper nutrition and stretching will also help you loads.

I'm slated for 16-1 as well. If anybody is in Okinawa and needs somebody to train with let me know. I'll be out here for another month, then I'm headed to Lejeune. I'm currently following the ten week prep guide, with some extra swimming and metabolic conditioning. Also for guys that need help with there 3 mile. Hal Higdon has an awesome 5k program that helped me get down to a 17:23.
Buzzkill thanks for the programming!

Where did you get the PERRES program from? Pendleton or Lejeune

I was thinking the same thing. I've got a guy that's kinda training me with swimming when our schedules match up, but I'm always open to more advice.

What unit are you with? Break it up, some days break it into intervals and others longer slower swims, you need to find ways to get the 300 faster to be more competitive, kinda like crossfitendurance, also really make sure your technique is down, what was your plan or what have you been doing with the 1500m swim?

I'm with 2DMRB.
I just recently started training. Some days I'll just do the distance and other days I'll do the 300 timed slick and in cammies.

Just find ways to make your 300 faster, what are your numbers so far? Like 300, pft, ruck, 5 mile run

I'm stupid, I didn't see the swim workouts, so I'm assuming you just pick one of the swim workouts and place it in the 1500m day. I really like the the plan, and will pass it to other guys that our training for A&S
