Hello ShaddowSpear Community,
My name is MEDLazaro104 and I am seeking advice regarding becoming a 68W Combat Medic in the U.S. Army. Currently I am a Junior in High School as well as a C/2LT in the U.S. Civil Air Patrol. I am also halfway though a NREMT-B class that my school offers through it's comprehensive technical program.
My dad was drafted in the Army during the Vietnam War and was deployed from 1967 to 1968, after he had returned he switched to the PA Army National Guard where he spent the remaining 25 years of his career. In November of last year he passed away to natural causes and was laid to rest at the Washington's Crossing National Cemetery. He would of been my primary resource when it finally came time to enlist. Now that I am a Junior in H.S. I have started contact with my local recruiter and I was hoping to get all of the wisdom and advice possible from those who have gone through the process before I finally sign my name on the line and start my military career. Any and all help is appreciated and I was referred to this page by a friend of mine that goes by the name of FireMedic on here.
I would like to thank you for your anticipated help as well as your dedication to serve this great nation.
