Hey gang,
Just introducing myself. I'm an 11b in the Massachusetts National Guard, looking to switch gears from slow speed to something a little more high speed. Currently an E-4, I should be heading to my State's SFRE in March. I'm just looking for the best amount of guidance and prep I can get beforehand.
Physically speaking I'm in okay shape. I have a 300 APFT score, but barely (right on the money in push ups, only one extra sit up, and a 12:40 run time). My five mile run time is 37:48, and I took a ruck march myself recently to gauge myself - 4 miles in 57:30.
I'd like to be more confident in land nav, if anything. I understand how to do it, and did fairly well down in basic training (the last time I did land nav). But it still felt like a crapshoot, even if I found all the points. Felt a lot like luck.
Anyway, looking for any guidance and help. SFRE is March 23rd weekend.
