I saw this last week. I was a mess. Rest easy Chartlotte. It is true. No matter what kind of animal, it always hits us hard. For a cop, his partner, a K-9 or horse. Harder. I have a cop friend who's dog had to be kept in the dept. kennel for a night. Keith came in the next morning and his partner was dead. I am told Keith's yell would curdle your skin.
