During my time with KravMaga, my instructor (Military) once had us train in body armor and helmets. Needles to say it was a cold shower.
From that point on, I started my trainig not wearing a the usual PT clothes, but the kind of clothes I wear every day. It sucked but I learned a lot more.

When I went through my MCMAP Instructor course, we constantly wore our flaks. It wasn't for the weight, but for the lack of freedom of movement. I didn't think it would make that much of a difference, but at the end it surely did. Train like you fight, after all.

Yep, During my service career there was one thing hammered into you at all times - "Train hard, fight easy". This meant training at all times was designed to ensure you learnt your craft and to practise it in the hardest possible scenarios.

You quickly see what works and what you need to change like this. It saves lives.
