I am 28 years old and was a motor t operator in the marine corps from 2018-2022 and have been driving a cdl truck and operating cranes and I am wanting to get back in to this fight, I never had any deployments in the marine corps and that was one of the main reasons why I joined and I have gotten out but since getting out I miss the brotherhood and purpose of what I do I don’t find that in any of these jobs and I look around to my “peers” and they are all fat and out of shape and I hate where I see myself. I currently work out and still run often and am wondering if it’s something achievable to get an 11x contract and volunteer for the regiment after OSUT being 28 years old?

Yes but they say I don’t get option 40 because of being prior enlisted

If the recruiter tells you he cant help you with an option 40, and you aren't interested in joining as an 18X - stick to your guns and tell him to call you when he CAN get you in on an Option 40 - then ask where the Navy recruiter is at so you can go talk to them about being a SEAL...

Or - god forbid - ask him where the Air Force recruiter is - because you heard that PJ's are pretty cool too.

...they'll change their tune soon enough. Just don't let them put you in to do something you aren't interested in doing.
