Howdy ShadowSpear, I've been lurking on the board for quite some time now and decided to join the discussion. I'm a 20 year old SEAL wanna be and a sophomore at Dartmouth where I play a varsity sport. I was born and raised in Texas growing up in a family with a pretty strong military background on my father's side, almost exclusively Marines. I have aspired to be a SEAL since I was a little kid, it's been a life long goal of mine and a title I can't wait to pursue in a few years. Just reading these forums I've learned from the real life, verified warriors and the tons of knowledgable people on here and I'm excited to get in on the conversation.

Not at the moment we do not. Just an Army ROTC that partners with Norwich I believe. I'm shooting for an OCS slot, if that doesn't work I'll enlist.

Welcome, fellow Big Green Weenie. Loved Hanover. Do they still have Homecoming bonfires?

Finish college. Go to BUD/S as an officer.

Thanks man, Hanover is great, I love this place. The bonfire tradition is still alive and well, this past year's was pretty impressive. The college cut down on some of the other traditions that went with the bonfire that I've heard about, but Homecoming Week here is unbelievable, there is nothing like it. As far as BUD/S as an officer, that's the plan, we'll see what happens. Thanks for the welcome and Go Green!

Welcome aboard.

Not too late to transfer to the social Ivy; Penn has an active NROTC program

I've fallen in love with Hanover and everything about Dartmouth but I have to admit I did consider Penn when I was being recruited. I made the right choice though, that's clear now.
