My name is Alex. I am a 20 year old male from upstate New York. I am Emergency medical technician. I staring my final semester of college for my Paramedic Cert, and national registry. I am the youngest and at the lead of the class, and take pride in the skills and lessons. That being said I've been in EMS for almost two years and have grown burnt out. The endless abuse of the 911 system, the ungrateful heroin addicts, the little old ladies I can't do anything for because they're 97 and its just their time.

I enjoy Trauma. Its where I'm at my best. My preceptors for school say I have a god given talent with it. But where I'm at with my EMS system, with my future Career, A trauma paramedic is nearly worthless.

I want to provide life saving medical care. And I want to provide it for those who need to most. So I have decided I will provide medical care to the greatest men America has to offer, SOF.

That's all I want. A band of brothers for whom I care for.

Welcome. Pro tip kid. E.M.S. is not all about trauma. Regarding burn out and forgive me for I am truly not being an jerk.....You have no time. None on the street to be burnt. Sure. Heroin sucks. Little old ladies are "boring" but I would rather have 1000 little old ladies that can hit on me, tell me stories and be grateful rather than 5 heroin fiends that spit in my face. You may be that last person that the old lady sees. I respect your feelings but in school where you are sheltered, that god given talent doesn't mean nothing. Trauma is over rated. With that said, I hope this does not offend you, just felt you needed to hear it.

Signed. An urban paramedic/FTO with 15 years + in a high call volume area of the U.S. Please be safe bro. Watch your six and your partners six. Also. When you are done school is when the real learning starts. Thanks for wanting to step up to serve. Oh. I miss my brothers of the 325.
