I am a marine of four years trying to actively engage in a MARSOC career and lifestyle.

thanks for reading.

Thanks for the welcomes.

I'm not a regular forum type person so I never know what to put in these things, especially when conversing with professionals. Sorry for the cookie cutter info.

I'm a 2171 optics technician in a victor unit. I spent a deployment in Afghanistan completely detached from my section and MOS. My life was post and patrols, like many of the 03's on this site. When I got back I was certain that I would rather EAS than re-up inmy MOS. Then my wife got cancer, and I dididn't know what my future would hold. A recruiter for MARSOC called me in and I knew what I wanted pursue.

A year and a half later and my wife is cured and healing, while I'm still training every day for A&S. I am on shadow spear to find out how to bettersharpen my skills, and succeed at my future endeavors.

Welcome to SS. Thanks for your intro. Glad to learn that your wife is doing well.

Much better!
Now I have a better grasp of who you are. Thank you.
Glad your wife is better.
The Corps, like most worthwhile endeavors, will bear the fruit of one's efforts. Make it count. I wish you luck.
Stop blaming the device. Own it or let it own you.

We have plenty of Recon Marines and a few MARSOC guys and hopefuls... and plenty of YUT-YUT, OO-RAH, Devil Dog Semper Fi type Marines to keep you company... the Marine closet, err barracks, are under the stairs and a bit crowded.

You'll find a vetting area if you want the Verified Military Tag.

Edited: Missed a capitalization of Marine, apologies.
