Wow, this is a very belated intro. I joined the forum a few years ago and have popped in and out without completing my profile or making an into.

I was thinking of my old friend and former SWAT team leader, Trip_wire (RIP), who introduced me to the site this morning and came on to look around again.

I am a Viet Nam Veteran, Vietnamese Linguist, and former member of the US Army Army Security Agency. I went to Fort Ord for basic, Monterey for Language school, Voice Intercept training then arrived in Saigon as a 98G2LVN in Jan 69. I worked initially training ARVN SIGINT soldiers in operating equipment and English with the goal of deploying them in support of their units and maybe some day some US units.

I transfered to TAREX in Sept 69 where as part of a small unit we conducted interrogations of prisoners with SIGINT background. We also translated and screened all SIGINT or suspected SIGING documents captured.

I spent two years in VN returning with an early out in Feb 1971.

I went back in to the Army Reserves as a Drill Sgt in Aug 80 then back into Military Intelligence in July 81. Units changed and consolidated until I went to the IRR in 1993 before going to Thailand to work and an investigator with the POW/MIA activities in Viet Nam through August 1994.. I returned from Thailand/Vietnam in 1996 and have been working in different fields related to training, Bail Bonds, Fugitive recovery, firearms training and others ever since.

I've been working
