How's it going everyone,
I'm Robin, but Rob is the usual go-to greeter name. I joined the Marine Corps back in late 2009 and was an assaultman with C. Wpns 1/9 "The Walking Dead". I did my first pump in 2011 in the Nawa/Treknawa area where I was given the nickname "Bear". (God only knows why my seniors came up with that name). Attended a handful of awesome schools as well as Assault Leaders Course after the deployment.
Soon after I jumped on the embassy duty program where I stood a plethora amount of post-standing in Kosovo for my first post. My 2nd embassy year was substituted by me coming back to the States to stand up the new Security Augmentation Unit for the State Department where I did some short augmentations in Tunis, Tunisia, and Santa Fe, Mexico. I was able to work with MARSOC and MSD on both occassions and learned a lot from those guys. Awesome groups.
Now i'm finally out at my last post in Northern Africa where I've started the process to get things in to motion for me to come out to A&S at the end of the program. I fortunately have the time and resources to a well laid out gym, a swim club size pool, and enough road to ruck my ass off. There is nothing more I can see my self doing for the Corps and myself.
I've already seen a lot of helpful information given out by what seems to be a good group of dudes. Hope to learn a lot and to get to know some of you all.
Thanks,
Rob
