Hello community. My real name is Ryan, I'm 18 years old and enlisted in the Army National Guard only a few months ago. I have not shipped to BCT/AIT yet (I ship mid November), but my MOS will be 68W (combat medic) and as of September I am still a PV1. I am here to learn from my fellow soldiers and servicemen, and to gather any knowledge I can on achieving my ultimate goal of serving with Army Special Forces. I know the road will be long and unbelievably difficult, but there isn't a thing I want more than to serve alongside the best of the best. Also, as a side goal, I hope to be one of the few PVTs who aren't considered brain dead. That goal is likely equally as difficult, but I'm damn well willing to try.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you.
 
Welcome to SS. Good on ya for stepping up and becoming a member of our Naion's military. So few see the value in that, or have the fortitude to do what you have done. Best of luck in your training.
