Hello to all out there!

My name is Christian Broschat and I am 19 years old and currently attending college. I have been wanting to join the military, specifically the Marines, since I was a freshman in high school. My aspiration is to one day become a Scout Sniper apart of a Marine Raider Regiment.

I heard about this site from a good friend who is also wanting to join the military and I must say I am excited to be apart of this community. I am extremely eager to learn all I can and prepare myself for my future.

I will tell you that Scout Sniper is a separate MOS and from the Raiders. To become a Raider you need 3 years of service. So maybe your aspirations would be to be an infantryman, pass a scout sniper indoc and go to the school, then once you meet the minimum qualifications, join the Raiders.

x SF med- Thanks for the link! I will try and read it fully as soon as possible, right now I'm wrapped up in a final for one of my classes. I skimmed a few paragraphs found it very informative. Can't wait to read the full thing... once I'm finished with this 10 page report

AKkeith- I knew that you have to be an infantryman to go through the Scout Sniper indoc and that it is a separate MOS from Raiders. But I wasn't aware that you have to have 3 years of service to join Raiders. Thanks for the info! Definitely gonna start searching the site to see if there is a post about requirements to join Raiders.

First day in and already learning!
