Hello,
I am a former senior Cadet in AROTC. My motivation for completing my degree had diminished more and more until I simply realized it was not something I wanted to do for a career. What I know I want to do is serve, and I want to serve with the 75th Ranger Regiment.
Prior to attending university, I had given some thought to enlisting and trying to be a Ranger. At the time, though, going to school seemed like the way to go, and I'm glad I did. My motivations for enlisting were limited to thoughts of proving myself and doing cool stuff. Now, I can confidently say that I want to be a part of this dedicated community and contribute in any way that I can. Additionally, throughout my time in ROTC, some of the instructors who I have looked up to most have been NCOs. My long-term goal is to become an NCO that can extend the same kind of influence as other NCOs have done for me.
As of right now, I do not have an Option 40 contract. Until I do, I will continue working as a bouncer and training to physically prepare myself.
