Hello all,
I am currently a civilian and not prior E. I was in AFROTC but left after a year of being in the program. I am still working on my college degree and that is why I have made the choice to go reserve. I would love to go active, but I am 26 years old and know if I go active, I will serve 8 years and I am not to fond of picking up school at 34 (what to go graduate level). So reserves it is.
I am currently in the works with a Marine recruiter in San Antonio to get into the 4th Recon Battalion as a 0321. It will be a long and challenging road but an extremely fulfilling one. I know this is what I want and I will do everything in my ability to preform and behave to the utmost that I can.
I greatly appreciate the acceptance to join this forum as the aforementioned has led me here. As one might guess, I am here specifically for Marine Recon Reserves information. I will use the search function but know I will also have questions. If you have any recommendations on how to do that properly, I look forward to the advice. I do not wish to indirectly step on any toes here by wasting the forum's storage with redundant information.
Thank you all for reading my introduction and look forward to moving forward!
