Hello to all you fine gentlemen (and presumably some ladies too).
My name is Nathan, I'm 26 years old, and I'm a prior-service Marine (EAS 2014) who is scheduled to leave the end of the month to begin his pipeline for a Q1 2017 SFAS class date. I've been spending the night reading some different prep topics and moto-reads, and I decided that if I was potentially destined to find myself on these forums more often than not, I might as well register - so here I am.
I got out as an E5 after some personal life struggles became distractions during my 0211 prep course, and ultimately led to me not being able to re-up after the boat slots had been filled for my current MOS and grade (2141). However, to that end - and probably evident by my desire to apply/accept an 0211 enlistment at that time - I know I was born to find myself part of a team. I'm not privy to all the acronyms for Special Forces that seem to change every 2 years, so I definitely apologize if I'm at all sounding like a boot..
Even though I'm prior service, I opted to attend Army Basic as I felt it would rekindle my sense of military pride and allow me to find myself in a leadership/mentor role once again to get the mental gears turning, as well as allowing myself the extra time to hit peak physical condition when that time permits.
I don't know that I'll find myself posting on here too often pre-selection, but I'm all about reading the input and guidance most of the senior members seem to give regularly, and that was more than enough of a reason to register.
