Hi all, 38 years old from Australia and have never served. For one reason or another in my younger years, immaturity admittedly being the primary one, I visited recruiters and was gung ho about joining the Army but I never went through with it. In recent times it has become a more pressing matter to me in my mind, and I have begun to research requirements and options available to me being the age I am. I have started working on my fitness to bring it up to par. I'm here after hearing about this forum on Reddit I'm here to read and digest and advice given to others which may not specifically apply to the Australian Armed Forces, but other information in regards to fitness nutrition and the overall mindset coming from people in the know.
