Good day all,

To sum up my life, I'm an active duty Corporal of Marines. Specifically an 0431 Embarkation Specialist. I joined the Marine Corps to experience a world outside my comfort zone as well an adventure that I don't plan on forgetting. I found this thread after my fascinating with the special operations community and everything they have to offer. Ever since then my 500m goal is to train, work, persevere my way to the big dogs at the community I hope to be selected into one day.

In the meantime I'm out here shooting my 25m goals (Marine Net annual training, RAH!)
100m: field ops and daily training, PT
300m: Submit my package for MSG and sharpen up my leadership
500m: Commision through MECEP to become either an Infantry officer, ground intel, or logistics officer (since my current MOS coincides with being a LogO). mature and study while in college and attend A&S after some time in the fleet to hopefully get selected to become a Special Operations Officer.

I'm currently at 2 years and some change in the Corps and so far its had a lot of ups, and sure as hell a lot of downs (it wouldn't be the Marine Corps without them). Its been a blast and I wouldn't trade it for the world!

I know, pretty insane and long term goals but I feel like the years and experience that I'll get while as an enlisted Marine will build to make great Officer one day. I'd like to go to A&S right now but i dont feel like I'm at that level of life experience for the cadre to view me as MARSOC material. While I can train as hard as I can to become a top notch athlete, It's all about the mental game.

Thank you all for reading and have a great day!

Welcome. You should look into the Naval Academy. They never hit their quota of enlisted ascensions.
