Glad to have finally joined the forum as I've poked around quite a bit! I just recently ets'd from the Army after about 10 years between the Reserves and Active Duty time. A week after my ETS, I decided to pursue a commission and everything came together REALLY quick - I got recommended for OCS last week so come end of October, I should have an OCS school date! I'm really looking forward to this challenge of making the NCO-Officer change and learning a TON. I was an enlisted intel soldier but will be crossing my fingers to branch Infantry and gain some maneuver experience, as I eventually wish to become an 18A. I've always wanted to be in SF and had every intention of ETSing to pursue 18x contract, but knew I would kick myself in the rear if I gave up a commission.
As I like to say, it doesn't close the door it just makes it harder to walk through. Very excited for the opportunity to interact with folks here and learn/share as much as possible!
