Hello, everyone! I am a 19A Cavalry Scout in the Army National Guard. I joined 18 months ago upon commissioning and am a 2LT (O-1) working in the S3 shop while I prepare for Ranger School in February. Upon becoming 1LT (promotable) I will attend SFRE and move forward from there. The Special Forces mission is of great interest to me, and something that I am thrilled to be taking steps toward. As a civilian I am a Project Specialist for a SecDef sub-office, fairly monotonous work that allows me to support some fantastic people while I pursue my Masters in Public Management. My goal is to use this degree to work in the nonprofit sector in the fields of sustainability and economic development. Down the road, however, I am becoming interested in spending some time on Active Duty, though I know the transition from Guard to Active is not a common one. Thanks all for having me here.
