Some of these, I've never seen before. 1975. With massed NVA armor heading south on Highway One, retreating ARVN cast aside uniforms to melt into the populace.

US armored column northbound Highway One. The highway was an elevated dike road through rice paddies and lowlands, making stalled vehicles easy targets for VC/NVA mortars and rockets.

Those are outstanding. Good to know you weren't the photographer for the pics of the NVA. :)

Mostly we fought VC, but when we encountered NVA inevitably we pulled the chain on support, CAS, 155 or gunships. Nape was an effective deterrent during daylight. The NVA used to break up into smaller elements when coming down from the mountains, attempting to infiltrate through our TAOR to get within rocket range of Danang and Hoi An.
