The Longest Kill: The Story of Maverick 41, One of the World's Greatest Snipers.
Craig Harrison was a British sniper who holds the world record for longest confirmed kill, at 2,475 meters. He joined the Household Cavalry at the age of 16 and served two tours in Bosnia, two in Iraq, and two in Afghanistan. The book covers his entire career, and he discusses many more missions than just the longest kill. He acknowledges places where he was wrong, and he excoriates the Army and Cavalry for the way they treated him and his family. I don't want to put out any spoilers, but parts of the book will leave you very frustrated for Craig. It's a well written, entertaining, thorough book.
Highly recommend this read.
