When you are in your text area and have a "group text" that you are part of, touch the circled "I" at the top right corner.
From there you will see you can "name" that group. For example:
I have wife and kids named: Family
I have both boys named: Boys
To me, the advantage of doing this is preventing accidentally replying to a "Group" when you had intended to reply to only one person in the group.
The other thing I found (also by accident) is how to quickly close multiple open tabs when you are using Safari.
- Open Safari like you normally would
- Tapping the lower right icon icon would typically open all of you current tabs. Instead of tapping it, hold your finger on it. Doing this will give you the option to "Close X tabs" (however many you have open at that time).
If click the home button quickly 3 times, the phone will will act as a magnifier. It's handy for reading small print on bottles if your glasses aren't nearby. You have to have the Magnifier enabled in Settings under "General" and "Accessibility."
