We, the Marines....

That was crazy good and moto'd me for another month...

But training to escape from a helo that's underwater upside down? :-o I'm kind of glad I didn't have to do that.

Dunker training was always fun. Never got to do the MRAP trainer, just helo. Around 07 it became mandatory every infantry Marine do the MRAP version. Not sure if it's still a requirement or not.

Honestly, it sounds and looks worse than it actually is.

But from a ground-pounder perspective it kind of shakes one's faith in the Air Wing...

Squadbay Sea Lawyer/Grunt Logic sez: If they've spent all this money on this Disney-level rotating submerged helo ride, our choppers must be plummeting into the sea every day. :-o:ROFLMAO:

As an outsider, it looked very "air-centric."

Yeah, and it's right on the surface. Seriously, the old amtracs when they dropped off the well-deck ramps into the sea would sink like--oh, I dunno, like big fucking heavy-assed steel amtracs--and seawater would pour through the hatches...and for us passengers it seemed to take forever for them to start to go up.
