Hello members, I am awaiting orders to BRPC and other than learning the "egg beater," I have had no guidance on what to prepare for. I understand that it's a pool slayfest, and I have also attended A/S for Marsoc in 2013- So I know I can swim the 500 meters in sub 12 minutes. My questions are about what to be able to do to not fail, and if there are any sites out there that have any prep guides. Any advice is greatly appreciated. (Sgt 7 years in the Marine Corps)

BRPC is challenging but it's designed to improve your confidence in the water and prepare you for BRC. We used to do RIP at the unit before BRC and that was a real thrash fest. A&S is designed to select Marines with the aptitude to attend ITC and become CSOs. BRPC and BRC let you self select your way out of the course by pushing you until you quit. Nearly all drops are quitters. Don't give up and you'll be fine.

Breath holding will help you out there though. They do a lot of underwater crossovers.

Thanks a lot! I will implement that into my regimen then.

BRPC is where my class lost 99% of those who quit. On top of what Teufel said, I'd also suggest rucking often if you aren't already, force march though try not to run until you get there. Ruck runs and treading are what destroy ropers. Again, don't quit, just like Teufel said. Oh and don't bring a GPS to Land nav.
