FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, July 12, 2010) – A Fort Carson Soldier was struck by lightning July 10 while playing paintball at the Dragon Man range in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The soldier, assigned to the Group Support Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), had moved to the top of a berm while playing a game of paintball when he was struck by lightning.
The soldier was medically evacuated by air to the University Hospital of Aurora, Colo. and was in stable condition.
