This has to be the most complete and amazing collection I’ve seen. I actually learned a few things by reading about the context of the photos.

Colorized images are a great way to make history really pop. For example, I could probably show a number of people this photo and they'd think
this guy is a model for an American Eagle type clothing line, and not a co-conspirator of the Lincoln assassination (Lewis Powell).

Based upon my family's oral history and everything but a missing birth certificate, he's an ancestor of mine. I'm not nearly as good looking.
