FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (USASOC News Service, May 11, 2012) – The 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) will honor retired Gen. Bryan “Doug” Brown, by naming one of its compounds after him in a ceremony May 14 at Fort Campbell.
During his distinguished 40-year career, Brown was involved in combat operations in Vietnam, Grenada, Kuwait, Iraq and other operations. Brown commanded the 160th SOAR (A), Joint Special Operations Command, U.S. Army Special Operations Command, and U.S. Special Operations Command.

Reporters interested in attending the ceremony must contact the 160th SOAR (A) Public Affairs Office by May 11 before 5 p.m. at (270) 412-8108 or e-mail rs5@soar.army.mil. Please provide your name, organization, and after-hours contact information, including e-mail address, so we may keep you advised of any changes to the schedule. Special needs or interview requests should be submitted at this time as well.

Plan to meet for the renaming ceremony at 3 p.m., May 14 at Fort Campbell Gate 7.
