35M(Human Intelligence Collector) MOS

I was wondering what it would be like to be HUMINT collector in the ranger regiment like would I be able to "go outside the wire" and actually do my job out in the field gathering information from human sources and do SSE and whatever else is required of this mos and be right there alongside fellow operators or would I be barely used and just be spending most of my time at a desk doing paperwork and just work out and be bored. Sorry if I sound quite arrogant I'm just interested in this Intel career field specifically especially since you have to learn a language and be able to immerse yourself with the local population gathering vital information that leads to mission success. I just don't want to end up at a desk that's all.
