Apparently, as seen by the photo, the USAF AFSOC 4th SOS (United States Air Force - Air Force Special Operations Command, 4th Special Operations Squadron, in longhand) have adopted the Ghostbusters no-ghost logo into their squadron patch - while I’m not sure the official reason, it could possibly have something to do with their vehicle of choice, the AC-130U Spectre gunship. Or maybe because they ain’t afraid of no ghosts.

The Real 4th Special Operations Squadron Patch

Located at Hurlburt Field, Fla., the 4th Special Operations Squadron (4th SOS) is the largest of nine flying squadrons within the 1st Special Operations Wing. The unit employs the AC-130U Spooky gunship.
