Eglin AFB, Fla. (Courtesy of 96th Air Base Wing Office of Public Affairs, March 23, 2009) – Media are invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne). The event will be held Thursday, March 26, at 2 p.m.
Lt. Gen. John Mulholland, commanding general of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command and Maj. Gen. David Eidsaune, program executive officer for Weapons and Air Armament Center commander, will host the event. Ms. Kathleen Ferguson, the deputy assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, and Brig. Gen. Joseph Schroedel, commanding general, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers South Atlantic Division, will also attend the event.
