A1 Skyraider

Here's a nice little piece on the A1, about 6 minutes. Since we were embedded with ARVN, much of our CAS was flown by VNAF A1s, which were absolute beasts. My reverence for A1s probably matches later generations reverence for the Warthog.

I remember those things filling the skies around Hurlburt in the late 60s and early 70's. Flying tanks. I get the feeling the AF keeps trying to reinvent the wheel when it comes to CAS planes instead of going for something along the same lines (updated of course) as the Skyraider.
